Even the good old thermoplastic CV joint boots eventually break. And as it is often the case, there's no adequate alternative on the market. Many people (like me at first) probably thought that these hard plastic parts couldn't be any good, but no – they're probably the best thing that can be used on fixed joints like the front outer ones on the Syncro. It's no coincidence that numerous other vehicles use this material.


Therefore, we now offer new TPU boots of excellent quality and presumably almost the original color. Both necessary ear clamps are also included.


The CV boots fit all T3 Syncro 14" models with and without a differential lock, and the front outer boots on the 16" Syncro without a differential lock. I'm not sure if there are any other vehicles the boots will fit.


Installation note: Due to the robust material, the boots are relatively difficult to slide onto the shaft. The clamps on the shaft side are also somewhat difficult to install due to the material. My experience is that you should first slide the clamp onto the boot and then, with a little oil or grease, slide everything onto the shaft. This is particularly important with TPU boots to prevent grease from leaking out at the edges, which would otherwise protect the surrounding parts from corrosion.
